so it's been a nothing short of a minute since there was ANY activity on this blog. bit of a shame, but life happens and there you have it--not for lack of things to talk about, though.
I'm not going to retrace the last 10 months in music and culture, but I'll highlight some big tings of 2011 (in brief): UKfunky, house, hiphop, juke, and whatever the hell that 130bpm shit is calling itself are awesome, and blew up huge this year. EDM exploded in all kinds of different ways, and the vast majority of it was excellent and interesting...plethora of low-qual, mid-range filth notwithstanding.
On our end, 2011 was the kickoff for a lot of stuff, such as the conception of the Two-Headed Snake (stay tuned), the first-annual Bass Camp, as well as a slew of half-decent musical productions from myself as The Fenris Wolf.
